libmopac7-dev software package provides Semi-empirical Quantum Chemistry Library (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmopac7-dev
libmopac7-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmopac7-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmopac7-dev *
You will get with libmopac7-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
